The Right to Inspect Public Records

The New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA) grants all citizens the right to inspect records related to the conduct of government business. Sandoval County processes all requests for public records in accordance with the IPRA. The county, in accordance with IPRA provisions, reserves the right to charge a fee of up to $1.00 per page to recover the cost of producing records.

You will be notified in writing of any fees for your requested documents. Payment must be received before the records are released. For more information regarding the New Mexico Inspections of Public Records Act, visit the state Attorney General's website.
